I am sacrificing a rare opportunity where I actually feel like following good sleep hygiene so that I can do homework for a calculus class that I might not continue past this week. I feel only 48% badly for doing this because I personally want to have a normal sleep schedule. The other 52% is guilt because putting work before sleep means I’ve technically broken a promise I made to my psychiatrist. For those of you who don’t have a good psychiatrist, it’s kind of like breaking a promise to a deity or whatever spiritual energy you may or may not believe guides the universe in some way, but worse. I am writing this here, instead of calling my psychiatrist, because I’m too ashamed to call her and tell her I don’t want to disturb her with my trivial problems it’s too late at night to call her.
